Really Good Reads

IMO

Homegoing
By Yaa Gyasi

I laughed, I cried. I mostly cried. Spoiler alert: white people are not the heroes of this novel. Incredible story telling.

The first book I ever loved. Probably.

I picked up this book initially because I liked the wellies on the cover.

A book lover's book.

The Handmaid's Tale
By Margaret Atwood

Spectacular fiction.

Me Talk Pretty One Day
By David Sedaris

LOL funny.

This story is told through email messages, official documents, bills, and secret correspondence. A fresh fun approach to a mother-daughter tale.

The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh
By Michael Chabon

A nice little coming of age story.

The Great Gatsby
By F. Scott Fitzgerald

A classic that film has never done justice to.

A worthy challenge.

The book you need to read when you're feeling down on yourself.

One Hundred Years of Solitude
By Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Magical realism at its best.

Dracula
By Bram Stoker

Not Twilight.

Jane Eyre (Bantam Classics)
By Charlotte Bronte

I love a little plot twist.

Big Little Lies
By Liane Moriarty

If you've been fortunate enough not to have this novel spoiled by the HBO series of the same name, drop everything and go read this now.

Like I said, I love a little twist.

The Winter People: A Novel
By Jennifer McMahon

Winter People was scary. I couldn't put it down. And I'm still thinking about it. Twas a good good read.

PS I read these books and liked them. I hope you do too. This post may contain affiliate links.
